Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the benefits to using an online system?

A: You will be able to search for jobs easily, create a profile, upload your resume and complete the online employment application just once. By applying online, you are immediately entered into the Cascadia Human Resources applicant tracking system.

Q: Can I still apply by mailing the old application and resume or e-mailing the information?

A: No. We are no longer accepting applications or resumes sent via U.S. Mail or e-mail. To apply for a position, you must use our online Career Center.

Q: What if I applied for a job prior to 12/1/09 using your previous process?

A: Your application will be processed for jobs you applied for prior to 12/1/09.

Q: How can I apply if I don't have a computer?

A: Refer to the Resources section on the Careers page of the Cascadia website. This section lists community locations that provide access to a computer to the general public.

Q: I don't have an e-mail account. How can I get one?

A: You can set up a free e-mail account with Gmail, Yahoo, MSN or AIM. This information can be accessed via the Intranet.

Note: Cascadia does not endorse any specific e-mail service. These sites that are listed are merely representative of free e-mail available to the general public on the Internet.

Q: How can I find out about open positions without creating an account or profile?

A: You do not have to have a profile to search open positions. Simply enter the Cascadia Career Center via the link on this page and you can search open positions by job number, area of interest, location or keywords. If you decide to apply for a position, a profile must be created and an online application must be completed.

Q: Do I have to create a profile every time I want to apply for a job?

A: No. You only have to create one profile. Simply click on the Cascadia Career Center link on this page and log in using your e-mail address and password that you used when you initially created your profile. Once you have logged in, you can search or apply for open positions.

Q: I forgot my password. What do I do?

A: Go to the Career Center and click the "Log in" link. At the bottom of the page you will see a section labeled "Forgot your password?" Enter your e-mail and a notification will be sent to you which will include your password.

Q: How do I change my contact information in my profile?

A: You can change your profile at anytime by logging in with your e-mail address and password. Click Edit Profile and update your information.

Q: If I start the online application and can't finish at that moment, can I come back to finish it later?

A: Yes. If you are not finished and want to come back later and complete your application, save your document as a Draft version. Keep in mind, you cannot be considered for a job until you complete the online application and save it as a Final version.

Note: if you save your application as final, you cannot edit your application without having a member of human resources unlock your application.

Q: What is the difference between saving a as a Draft and saving as a Final version?

A: There are two ways to save your application.

  • Save as Final this locks your application and submits it instantly for the job you are applying for. Once you save your application as final, you will not be able to make corrections. You will need to contact the Human Resources Department by sending an e-mail to jobs@cascadiabhc.org and request access to make an update to your application.
  • Save as Draft this saves your application if you are not ready to finish it at that time. If you save it as a draft, you may edit any information you've included on your application.

Q: When I log into my account and click on a job, there is no "apply" button.

A: Most likely, you have already applied for the job. After you've logged in to your profile, click the "Jobs I've Applied To" link. If the job you are trying to apply for is listed, that means you've already applied and cannot apply for that same position again. It's a good idea to look in the Action column to see if there are any actions you need to complete, examples include completing the online application or an assessment.

Q: I don't see a closing date for your jobs. When do they close?

A: Our jobs are open until filled.

Q: How can I find out the status of my application?

A: Due to the large number of applications received, we are unable to verify the status of individual applications. If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted by the hiring manager directly. If you are not selected, you will be sent an e-mail notifying you that we've moved forward with other more qualified candidates.

Q: How long does the process usually take?

A: The application process can range from days to weeks depending on the volume of applicants and the urgency of the recruitment process.

Q: Can I apply for multiple positions?

A: Yes. It is important to note however, that Cascadia protocol only allows us to forward applicants for one position at a time.

Q: If I apply for more than one position, which position will I be forwarded to?

A: Cascadia will only consider you for one position at a time. Therefore, your information will be forwarded to the job that you've identified which most closely matches your qualifications and experience.
